I think this is quite a useful element, as we can often gain different persp ectives of a myth by seeing how it has been appropriated by different cultures. As well as outlining myth in antiquity, the book also covers some reception works, including modern filmography. Given that mythology can have many complex relationships, it’s useful to research in this manner, and use the text to decipher the connections between characters.
